LAWRENCE FLAMES
TRAVEL JERSEY NUMBER DESIGNATION POLICY
Please know that number designation is done in the fairest way possible by answering the following questions:
1. Is there a player on his/her team with that number?
2. Is there a player one year older and/or one year younger on another team with that number?
(i.e., if your player is a '96 birth year -- is there a '95 and/or a '97 birth year player with that number?) This is checked in order prevent any future number conflicts.
3. If 2 players are asking for the same number, did you submit your jersey order after the other player? ("First come, first serve"). Date is noted when the order form is actually received by the Uniform Contact person, NOT when the order form is dated.
If "yes" is answered to any of these questions, then we have to move onto the 2nd number choice, then 3rd number choice, etc... If non of the player's first 3 number choices are available, then the Uniform Conctact person will request an additional 3 choices.
Also note: Former Flames Travel players that have left LHA for 1 or more years have lost their number seniority. Therefore, their previous Flames number may no longer be available to them this year or perhaps the following year. Therefore, they may be required to change their number when a conflict presents itself. As a result, the 3 rules of LHA Jersey Number Designation will be applied.
Jersey number seniority begins when you purchase your first Flames Travel jersey and is kept as long as you are with LHA. Please also note that LHA House players moving over to a travel team carry no seniority regardless of how many years they have been in the LHA House program. They will be treated the same as a new Travel player to LHA.
