2008 PITTSBURGH THREE RIVERS CUP TOURNAMENT
The LHA sent eight teams to the Three Rivers Cup Tournament in Pittsburgh and five teams came home with medals. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and families for a great tournament. Special thanks to Joe Giordano and Beth Bidwell for all their time and efforts into organizing this tournament. Congratulations to the following teams:

Congratulations to our LHA Mite B team for winning their Division at the 2008 President's Day Tournament at Aspen Iceworks in Aston, PA. They went 5-0 with 28 goals for and 11 against!
Great job by players, coaches and parents!
2007 -2008 FLAMES PEEWEE A WHITE
NJYHL AMERICAN CONFERENCE DIVISION CHAMPS
Congratulations to the Lawrence Flames Peewee A White Team for winning the NJYHL American Conference Division. This gives the team an automatic bid to the District Championship Tournament held in Hatfield, PA from March 7 thru 9, 2008. The Pee Wee White's had a tremendous season, establishing a 21 win and 1 loss record in the NJYHL. The team has also been successful in tournaments, winning both the Haunted Shootout in Marlboro, MA and the Hatfield Ice Dogs Thanksgiving Classic against some strong competition. Head Coach George Bassert has done an outstanding job teaching the boys team hockey. He has been extremely impressed with the maturity and growth of the team during a long season.
Well Done : Boys, Coaches and Parents !!!

CJ Young
of the 2007- 8 Pee Wee A White Team. CJ was selected by the Atlantic District Flyers Team, made up of mainly AAA players, to play for them in the prestigious Pee Wee Quebec Tournament. This is the largest Pee Wee Tournament in the world, and features outstanding players and teams from all over the world. The Flames wish CJ good luck in Quebec City - Nice Job!

2007 CLIFTON PARK (NY) THANKSGIVING CLASSIC TOURNAMENT RUNNER-UPS
The PW Red fought very hard to get into the Championship game at Clifton Park. They beat the host team 5- 4 in the semi-finals by scoring in the last minute. This is a very young team, made up of mostly 1996 kids. They lost to a very strong Berkshire Bruins (MA) team in the finals. Great effort, players and coaches !
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2007-2008 PEEWEE A WHITE HATFIELD ICE DOGS THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the Lawrence Flames Pee Wee A White Team on winning the 2007 Hatfield Ice Dogs Thanksgiving Weekend Tournament in Hatfield, PA. Coaches George Bassert, Chuck Young, and Mark Dwyer all agreed that this was a total team effort. This statistics backed up the coaches' words, as every Flames skater on the Team had a goal in this 5 game tournament.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2007-2008 PEEWEE A WHITE HAUNTED SHOOTOUT TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the Flames Pee Wee A White Team for winning the Haunted Shootout in Marlborough, MA October 26-28. The Team was victorious against a against a strong field of 12 Teams from the Northeast. The Flames White defeated the Philadelphia Regional Silver Sticks Champ, Long Island Edge 2-1 in the semifinal game, and then went on to defeat South Windsor, CT in the final by the same 2-1 score.
The 5 games featured outstanding performances by all players. Overall the team was lead by their defense, particularly by C.J. Young who was a team leading +5 for the tournament. The Flames came from behind in the final game as Linder Kenyon tied the score on an assist by Pat Kelly. Jimmy Gill scored the game winner on an assist by M.A. Schiavone.

TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
What a great way to bring the season to an end. We won all 4 games we played in the tournament, came 31 seconds away from shutting out our opponents in 3 of the 4 games we played. We took 13 of a possible 15 points in the qualification rounds and were Tournament Champions. In typical Lawrence Flames Bantam A fashion, it was a true team effort. Congratulations coaches, players and parents ! You have once again made all of us at LHA extremely proud of your success, on and off the ice. Thanks for supporting the Mite B team in their successful quest for the gold too...you are worthy champions !

March 2- 4, 2007: Congratulations to our Bantam A Silver Medalists, coaches and families for a great showing at the American Cup Tournament in Lake Placid!
After knocking out teams from Northern Jersey and Massachusetts, it was an upstate New York team that kept us from the gold. Congratulations to a great team effort and to the game MVP's Mike Cobb, Brendan Roberts, Dan Giordano and Anthony Rosetta for getting the CHE MVP votes. Also, congratulations to Dan for receiving the coaches' Sportsmanship Award.

March 3, 2007: Congratulations to our House Squirt team for winning the Championship Cup at the Nassau Invitational Tournament. Playing the entire tournament shorthanded, you showed great heart and determination and your hard work of the season paid off. You beat all your local rivals and won the cup for LHA!
